"I don't hear you giving me any better ideas!" Cori snapped, skidding to a stop when they came upon a very run down, decrepit old town. "How is this place going to help us?"

"Perhaps it's so damn ugly, the Queen won't go anywhere near it." Droiture suggested lamely, clambering off Cori's back and back onto his own two invisible feet.

Cori shrugged and walked toward the town. "Maybe there is someone here who can help us get out of here." She stumbled, almost tripping over a white blur. "What in the hell?"
The creature turned to stare at Cori. He was a rabbit, but one of unusual size, almost as big as Cori herself was. The rabbit was hunched over and wringing his hands. There was blood on the jacket he wore and stained across his white fur. "There you are Alice. We'll be late if you don't hurry."
Cori looked confused. "But I'm not-
"Alice we don't have time for this. Here." The White Rabbit handed over a small glass vial containing a deep red liquid. "Meet me down by the river, and hurry!" With that, the Rabbit was gone.

"What the hell! More talking animals? Jesus, it's like I've stepped into a Lewis Carrol poem! Oh wait, I fucking have." Droiture snarled, glaring at the Rabbit as he made his escape. "I should make myself four lucky charms and a pair of earmuffs out of that bastard." He muttered.

Cori looked at the bottle the Rabbit had handed her and shrugged, uncapping it and sucking down the liquid. She choked, coughing and trying to spit it out. "Ugh, that's disgusting! I wonder what the hell it's supposed-ahh!" She suddenly disappeared, shrinking down to the size of a small rat. "What in the hell!?"

"What the fuck?! NOW how am I supposed to get around?!" Droiture complained, picking Cori up and letting her rest in the palm of his hand. "You're fucking tiny!" He said.

"Yes, thank you for letting me know that." Cori said sarcastically. "Where the hell did the Rabbit want me to go that I needed to be so small, anyways?" She sighed heavily. "This is ridiculous!"

"Calm down. I'll bring you to the River, then you can go on by yourself. Alright? I'll manage." Droiture said, starting towards the river.

"Thank you Droiture. It would be a big help. Are you sure you'll be alright without me?" Cori gave a slight grin, knowing he got around better with her.

"I'll manage. Perhaps if I put on a robe I can pass for the Cat and they'll leave me alone." He joked, moving towards the river. "Well, we're here, and here's where you disembark." Droiture dropped to his knees and let her off.

"Thank you!" Cori called up to Droiture. "Be careful, ok?" She looked toward the river and began on the long walk to where she assumed she had to be.

Cori grinned and continued along the riverbank. "I wonder where the Rabbit got off to? And where did he want me to go from here?" She looked out at the water and noticed someone standing on the other side of the bank. "I wonder if he will know where that Rabbit went." She stood at the edge of the back. "Hey, hey! Have you seen The White Rabbit?" The creature tilted its head to the side, staring at Cori. "Well, a lot of help he is."
